Description
The Ceti Polaris A Analogue Polarimeter is a high-quality but low cost instrument capable of measuring the rotation of optically active samples and, despite the low cost, matches the performance of many digital instruments in the market today. The variable half waveplate effect is used to obtain a balance between the two halves of a circle when viewed through the eyepiece. The reading is then taken from the scale.
This laboratory polarimeter accepts sample tubes with lengths up to 220mm and is used for measuring concentrations and optical rotations in the food, sugar, flavouring, fragrance, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
Supplied with two spare fuses, two test tubes (100 and 200mm), screwdriver and instruction manual.
