Breakdown contracts - refrigeration

We offer two levels of breakdown cover to suit different budgets. However, all of our customers with breakdown cover in place (Level 1 or 2) are prioritised ahead of any non-contractual call outs.

Breakdown cover is particularly useful for ‘mission-critical’ equipment when unscheduled downtime must be minimised.

Level 1 Breakdown cover

Includes:

  • All callouts
  • Discount against the cost of parts, for repairs*
  • Discount against transport costs, if unit(s) must be taken off-site for repair
  • 24/7 access to our online help desk system for logging issues with our service team

Level 2 Breakdown cover

Benefit from:

  • All callouts and all parts are covered*
  • Discount against transport costs, if unit(s) must be taken off-site for repair
  • 24/7 access to our online help desk system for logging issues with our service team

Extended warranty services - refrigeration

For customers with one of our of service packages (Mediserv Core Plan or Core Plan Plus) in place, we can offer extended warranty options. Please contact us for full details.

Extended warranty services – laboratory equipment

When investing in laboratory equipment from Medline Scientific, our customers will expect many years’ of trouble-free use. We have tailored our laboratory support services so that, in the unlikely event of a breakdown or downtime, we are ready to respond quickly and effectively.

Our annual service agreements provide you with the peace-of-mind that you are protected in the event that something should go wrong once your unit(s) passes out of its manufacturer’s warranty period. We currently offer two packages across our range of equipment.

Level 1 warranty cover

Ideal for non-mission critical equipment; items that will cause operational problems or delays if they are not functioning for a prolonged period. Any work or visits are undertaken during our standard working/operating hours.

Benefit from:

  • Ten day turnaround—return to base repairs only
  • Shipping and packaging; collection and return to site (in the event of failure); repair; parts and labour are covered*
  • 24/7 access to our online help desk system for logging issues with our service team

Level 2 warranty cover

Designed for equipment that is either mission-critical or will cause severe operational problems in the event of prolonged product failure. Any work or visits are undertaken during our standard working/operating hours.

Benefit from: 

  • Two day turnaround—on-site repair (UK mainland only)
  • On-site repair, parts and labour are covered*
  • 24/7 access to our online help desk system for logging issues with our service team

*Refers to spare parts required for the repair/exchange of an integral item that has failed and does not include consumables, failure through fair wear and tear or any item damaged through neglect or misuse. Written quotations will be provided for any non-contractual repairs or non-supported scenarios.

Repairs – laboratory equipment and refrigeration

We have been servicing and repairing our own equipment portfolio for over 10 years with a dedicated service department at our headquarters in Oxfordshire. Our repair services include both return-to-base and on-site options for a wide range of laboratory equipment. Any work or visits are undertaken during our standard working/operating hours.

Equipment and instrumentation covered by our repair service:

  • Ceti microscopes
  • Jeio Tech ovens and incubators, shakers and incubator shakers, circulators and water baths, and more

We have recently extended our repair services to include call outs and on-site repair for laboratory refrigeration. Our specialist refrigeration engineers are highly experienced and our service covers:

  • Laboratory fridges, freezers, ULTs—all major brands including Revco, Thermo, NBS, Eppendorf CryoCube®, Sanyo, Panasonic, PHCBI, Ilshun, Haier, Daihan, Infrico, Arctiko*
  • Cryogenics—150°C freezers from Sanyo, Panasonic, PHCBI and Arctiko*
