Q: Can I order directly from the website?

A: To order from the website, you will need to create an account. You can do this by following the Register link. Once you have registered and signed in, you will be able to order products at list price.

Q: What are the delivery charges?

A: Our delivery charges are based on each item’s weight. The standard delivery charge is £30.00 per consignment (UK mainland ONLY). For larger items and bulk purchases, we will be able to provide you with a quote for each order and/or item. Pallet deliveries start at £65. Please contact a member of our sales team for further details.

Q: What are the standard delivery times?

A: Our non-stocked items have various delivery times, which you will be notified of at the time of quotation or order confirmation. Our stocked items have a standard delivery time of 2 – 3 days; next day delivery is also available along with other premium services such as Timed or Same Day.

Q: Is there any warranty on equipment?

A: We offer a two year warranty on all new Medline Scientific-branded laboratory equipment and Ceti microscopes with additional warranty packages on other equipment (please contact us for further details). The standard warranty on non-Ceti or non-Medline Scientific branded equipment is 12 months. We also offer multiple service plans and extended warranty packages.

Within the initial warranty period the term of repair for “all parts & labour” is valid during normal working hours only (Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm), refers to spare parts required for the repair/exchange of an integral item that has failed and does not include consumables, failure through fair wear and tear or any item damaged through neglect or misuse.

Q: What are Medline Scientific’s ISO/UKAS accreditations?

A: We are ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System) accredited.

Our Services team is able to organise temperature calibration and certification to UKAS standards.

Q: On which frameworks is Medline set up?

A: Our products (equipment and consumables) can be purchased on the following frameworks: NHS Supply Chain, Public Health Wales, LUPC and SUPC.

Q: Can someone provide me with technical support/guidance if I am not sure what equipment I need?

A: Yes, we will be glad to support you and, if necessary, organise a demonstration. Please email your details (including your postcode) to enquiries@medlinescientific.co.uk and we will get in touch with you. Alternatively, we partner with well-established UK based suppliers that can also provide technical advice and demonstrations, installation and training where necessary.

Q: Does Medline Scientific offer servicing/spare parts and servicing contracts for equipment?

A: Yes – through our experienced Service department. We offer health checks, servicing contracts, breakdown cover, extended warranty options and callout repair services for all laboratory refrigeration brands (with particular expertise in ULTs). We can also provide extended warranty and repair options for Medline Scientific equipment.

Q: Does Medline Scientific sell ex-demo/refurbished equipment?

A: We sometimes have ex-demo/refurbished equipment available. Please contact us to find out if we have any in stock that meet your requirements. We also list a range of clearance items on our website.

Q: How can I access technical information on the website?

A: Data sheets and instruction manuals can be supplied on request, please call or email for further details. For many of the products listed on our website, a technical data sheet can be downloaded from the product page, these can be found on the Downloads tab.

Q: Can Medline Scientific supply products that are currently not visible on the website?

A: Yes, we supply many products and brands that are not listed on our website. If you let us know your requirements, then it is highly likely that we can supply products to meet your needs.
