A comprehensive and affordable microscope portfolio from Medline Scientific
We supply (and stock) a wide range of Ceti microscopes: upright (compound), inverted and stereo microscopes to satisfy the requirements of both tutors and students in educational environments, and also those working in medical and industrial laboratories, QC and research institutes.
The portfolio includes monocular, binocular and trinocular models to suit most applications and needs. All of the Ceti microscopes can be used for brightfield visualisation with configurations for polarisation, phase contrast and fluorescence also available.
Ceti upright microscopes
Our Ceti Max, Magnum and Vulcan upright biological compound microscopes are used for observing thin, transparent, slide-mounted specimens under magnifications typically ranging from 40X to 1000X.
Specimens include histology sections, blood, cytological specimens, crystals, emulsions and transparent parts of organisms such as insects, fish and plants.
Max III series – best value for money
Ideal for teaching in colleges and universities, these microscopes feature a convenient carry handle and cord storage, as well as giving great image quality. In addition to being an excellent student microscope, the Max III is also a popular choice in industry, veterinary labs and water-treatment plants.
Features: Widefield 10X, FN18 eyepieces; LED illumination; Infinity Corrected Plan Achromatic objectives (except monocular model). Trinocular model includes a photo port.

Magnum series – high quality and economical
The highly popular Ceti Magnum range offers modern ergonomic features to ensure a comfortable viewing position for prolonged use. These microscopes are ideal for the examination of slide-mounted samples in QC, research, degree teaching and many industrial applications.
Features: Widefield 10X, FN20 eyepieces; LED illumination; four Infinity Corrected Plan Achromatic objectives; full Köhler illumination. Trinocular models include a photo port.
There are three models equipped for brightfield, plus additional configurations for polarisation, phase contrast and epi-fluorescence. A rechargeable version is available that can be used in the field or in regions where power supplies are interrupted.

Vulcan – motorised, ergonomic and superior quality
The motorised Ceti Vulcan compound microscope offers superb quality observations alongside comfortable viewing over extended periods of time.
With superb optics, the Vulcan is more than a match for research-quality upright microscopes from the “big” manufacturers and, with a motorised nosepiece and condenser as standard, it offers incredible optical quality and value for money. An optional epi-fluorescence system, with space for up to 6 filter blocks, is available as is a turret phase contrast condenser.

Ceti inverted microscopes
The Versus and Inverso inverted microscopes are used for observing materials, cells and organisms in culture and in flasks, Petri dishes, microtitre plates and roller bottles.
Equipped with brightfield and usually phase contrast so the unstained transparent tissue can be observed more clearly. Smaller, lower cost models are also known as tissue culture microscopes.
Versus-TC LED – robust and compact
Equipped with three phase contrast objectives and 4X brightfield objective – ideal for visualising a larger field of view. Designed for tissue culture applications; the attachable mechanical stage has a number of holders for Petri dishes, plates, slides and culture flasks. Popular for life science applications in educational, medical and research institutes.

Ceti Stereo zoom microscopes
The Ceti Steddy and Varizoom stereo microscopes, also known as dissecting microscopes, use lower power magnification to examine items such as insects, plants, geological specimens, fossils, industrial parts, coins, archaeological artefacts, pond life, invertebrates, zoological specimens, embryos, forensic samples, textiles, etc. – in fact, products that are not mounted on a slide. Samples can be of various sizes and can be opaque or translucent.
Star – simple and economical
An economical stereo microscope ideal for educational use and for viewing specimens at low magnification. Equipped with LED illumination and diamond base.

Varizoom – high specification and wide zoom range
Ceti’s highest specification stereoscopic zoom microscopes; the Varizoom features a parallel zoom system with high-quality optics. The broad flat base provides comfortable working, especially when dissecting or manipulating specimens.
Ideal for working with heat-sensitive and biological samples: directional episcopic LED lighting from above illuminates the sample effectively without the need for gooseneck light guides, thus giving more space above the sample. The transmitted LED lighting provides cool illumination from below.
