The Epsilon 2-4 LSCplus freeze dryers are very compact, general purpose high-performance laboratory and pilot units for benchtop installation.
The single-chamber system has a 4 kg ice condenser integrated in the product chamber with a –85 °C temperature. The large shelf is cooled directly by the refrigerant, resulting in a low shelf temperature as well as cooling and heating rates that are nearly twice as fast as indirectly cooled shelves. The directly cooled and heated shelves made from Teflon coated solid aluminium enable especially fast cooling and heating processes.
The application area of these units extends from routine drying operations to process optimisation tasks. The Epsilon 2-4 LSCplus freeze dryer unit is suitable for drying solid or liquid, mainly aqueous products in vials, ampoules, tubes, other glass containers or dishes.
